What’s with the name?

Our name comes from the Greek word in the bible airō (Strongs G142). It has many uses, but the most common one means “to remove” or “to take up” or “take away”.

John the Baptist uses it when he says, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1: 29)

Jesus used this word when he said, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.”( Matthew 16:24)In a much less important but practical sense, we take away what no longer belongs. Consistent pruning back and taking away is needed to keep everything  from our souls to our homes clean and uncluttered. So in a nutshell, that’s the “take away”, Airo means to take away, and reminds us of the One who removed what we could not.

Why Do Trash Providers Miss Pickup?

Rule number one: Never miss trash pickup.
Rule number two: See rule number one.

When choosing a trash provider, reliability is usually at the top of the list. Nobody wants to be stranded with a full trash can—especially one filled with a week’s worth of food waste, odors, and maggots—and then have to figure out how to haul it to the dump themselves.

Yet missed pickups and small trash companies becoming inconsistent are fairly common. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad people or don’t care about their customers. The reality is that providing dependable weekly trash service is a little more complicated than it looks.

A small provider may have only one trash truck. If that truck breaks down and is waiting several days—or weeks—for a part, the company may have no way to run its routes. Others operate with very little staffing, which means an illness or unexpected absence can put an entire route behind. Even things customers don’t normally think about, such as proper insurance, financial reserves, preventative maintenance, and backup equipment, can determine whether a trash company is able to keep operating when something goes wrong.

And then there’s communication.

Answering the phone doesn’t cost anything, and we believe your trash provider should answer it. Unfortunately, when a company doesn’t know when its truck will be repaired or when it can get caught up, sometimes avoiding the customer becomes easier than explaining the problem.

At Airo Disposal, we know things will occasionally go wrong. Trucks break. Employees get sick. Weather happens. The important question is whether your trash company has planned for those problems and how it responds when they happen.

That’s why we work to maintain backup equipment, adequate staffing, proper insurance, and the financial stability necessary to keep providing dependable service. Just as importantly, we’re a local company you can actually reach when you have a question or problem.

Because at the end of the day, trash service should be pretty simple:

You put your trash out. We pick it up. Every week.

If you’re looking for consistent residential trash service and a real local person who will answer the phone, give Airo Disposal a call or text at 706-807-0123.
